Meet Samara Gregorio

Brazilian Physiotherapist and Sport Osteopath Samara Gregorio has worked with track and field athletes for over 23 years. She has worked with San Diego State with women’s track and field team and various elite athletes training around the world. 

 

Samara has traveled the world working with various international track and field federations, coaches and athletes. She has a wealth of experience in how to specifically fix, prepare and recover track and field athletes.

 

As a physical therapist and student of osteopathy who has worked collaboratively with respected coaches like Peter Stanley of the UK, US Long Jumper/Coach Willi Banks and San Diego State Head Coach Shelia Burrell, Samara has been able to “teach” coaches how to take care of their athletes. 

 

Her doctoral thesis on “The effect of vagas nerve stimulation, through craniosacral treatment in the regulation of the menstrual cycle and the improvement of sport performance in female athletes” puts her on the cutting edge on athletic research based on “Her”. She has created and implemented specific ice bath and active recovery protocols for coaches to help answer questions like “when, what and for how long” when it comes to injury prevention when working with athletes.
